Visiting the site

The site uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. Our hosting provider Louhi (Finland) keeps technical details such as the IP address, the time and the page opened in its server logs. This rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure. How long the logs are kept follows Louhi’s maintenance practice.

The waitlist

If you join the list, we handle your email address, the language of the list you joined, and when you joined and confirmed. We use the address only to tell you when Usva is ready. This rests on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe form or by writing to privacy@taitolabs.fi. The notice that Usva is ready also has an unsubscribe link. Withdrawing doesn’t affect what was done before.

How long we keep it

We delete the addresses on the waitlist within three months of sending the notice that Usva is ready. If you withdraw your consent, we stop sending you messages. If you ask us in writing to delete it, we delete your address without delay. An address that isn’t confirmed from the link doesn’t join the list. Brevo’s logs may keep records of sent messages for Brevo’s own retention periods.

Who handles the data

The list and its messages are handled by Brevo (France), whose servers are in the EU. Brevo also records delivery details for the messages and may use sub-processors outside the EU. Those transfers rest on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Email you send us is kept in Google Workspace in the EU. Data is not sold.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its handling and move it elsewhere, and you can object to handling based on our legitimate interest. You can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
